A customised pergola to combine aesthetics and functionality

When you have a valuable outdoor space it is important to make the most of it with solutions that combine design and practicality. Such is the case with this beautiful terrace of a modern penthouse, for which the owners chose the bioclimatic pergola Openair by Mioni, perfectly integrated with the existing architecture.

The structure, with generous dimensions of approximately × cm, was installed in continuity with the roof of the house, almost extending it outwards. This made it possible to create a dining and relaxation area en plein air that seems to be one with the interior spaces. The home automation system of slat opening dynamically adjusts shade and air exchange, while the rain and temperature sensor then automatically manages the complete closure of the slats in the event of rain or snow.

One outer side of the structure is customised with fixed slats which allow pleasant natural light to filter in even when the adjustable slats are closed. While in the evening, the refined LED perimeter lighting integrated into the structure creates a cosy and intimate atmosphere.

Maximum comfort even in winter with the Openair pergola

For a restaurant, having a beautiful, protected and comfortable outdoor space where the atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed is essential in all seasons.

The project involved the installation of an Openair bioclimatic pergola in Moka colour with a sable finish, measuring x cm, obtained by placing three modules side by side on the building façade and creating a protected connection with the interior of the venue. The pergola has a cover with aluminium slats that can be rotated up to °, allowing for modular shading and natural air circulation.

In order to offer maximum comfort even in the coldest periods, the pergola was completed with sliding panoramic panels which, when closed, offer excellent protection from the wind and rain, as well as maintaining an optimal temperature under the pergola. Due to the particular height of the columns ( cm), a transom was created in the centre of the pergola in order to position the central hinged door.
